My first two pregnancy tests showed negative immediately. I used the exact same type from the same box and a few days later they take the whole time to show a negative result. Am I getting closer to a positive or is it just random that the same tests take different amounts of time?

Take the test after you have missed a period and if that is still – go to the doctors. Some home preg test don’t work for every girl.
it needs to be at LEAST 2 weeks from the date of “conception”. Best chance is waiting until you’ve missed your period but that waiting period can be pure hell….
pregnancy tests are a nightmare. i have just gone through a few rounds of IVF, so i am some what of an expert now!.
a negative in my experience is usually always a negative from 10 days after conception/transfer. after my most recent egg transfer i tested at 10 days after and it came back a very very faint positive, and the colour kept on getting stronger. its no consolation i know if its a negative, a month between opportunities is an eternity. fingers crossed
take the test after you have missed a perioud. some results can take two months or longer. my sis in law’s always came up negative although she was 7 months along when she found out she was pregnant
I think it is just random. Maybe you had it tipped for a little longer, and the pee traveled faster downward? I don’t know, I think its just a coincidence. If you use your first morning pee, its stronger for a positive.
